POSEIDON System Weather 1.1.7

POSEIDON System app provides access to updated meteorological, wave, hydrodynamic, and ecosystem forecasts from the official POSEIDON System website poseidon.hcmr.gr. Daily forecasts for the next five days are available.

Meteo Forecast:

• Spatial coverage: mid and South Europe, Mediterranean Sea, and North Africa
• Surface wind (10m), rainfall, air temperature (2m), cloudiness, snowfall, dust, atmospheric pressure

Waves Forecast:

• Spatial coverage: Mediterranean Sea, Sea of Marmara, and Black Sea
• Significant Wave Height & Direction (WW3 model)
• Significant Wave Height & Direction (WAM model)

Sea Level Forecast:

• Spatial coverage: Mediterranean Sea
• Total Elevation, Tidal Elevation, Surge Elevation

Hydrodynamics Forecast:

• Spatial coverage: Mediterranean Sea
• Sea Surface Temperature, Sea Surface Salinity, Surface (5m) Circulation

Ecosystem Forecast:

• Spatial coverage: Mediterranean Sea
• Chlorophyll-a (0-10m average), nitrates (Surface), ammonium (Surface), phosphates (Surface), bacteria biomass (Surface), mesozooplankton (Surface), phytoplankton biomass (Surface), primary production (Surface), bacterial production (Surface), primary production (200m Integrated), bacterial production (200m Integrated)

Features:

• Color bar: easily change units for surface wind, air temperature, and sea surface circulation
• Flow Animation: streamline presentation of wind, waves, or sea currents based on the selected model
• Isobars: add isobars layer with an option under the menu
• Interactive map: zoom in/out and move to any area of interest
• Point of interest: view forecast values for specific points or cities within the forecasting model
• User location: view forecasts based on current location using location pin feature
• Date time section: select specific date time or animate forecasts automatically
• Help guide: access a brief guide for assistance

Additional features include UTC and local time options, English and Greek language support, vertical and horizontal view modes without any advertisements present.
